Remembering Tom "Mort" Warshauer

A note from Joyce Warshauer:

To Tom/Morty's many friends,

As I drove home from work yesterday Sweet Lotus Blossom started playing on my CD. I looked at the clock and it was 4:20 which made me laugh all the way home. That's what Tom was about - laughter - as well as love and happiness. And how I miss him - as do all of you. What a wonderful tribute it was to all he stood for last Saturday. I hope he realized how many wonderful friends he had (and still has). I was talking to "kids" from Laidlaw School as well as my friends who all loved Tom and his zest for life.

Thank you Phill, Dick, Hollie, Kari, Frank (for donating your wonderful restaurant) and everyone else who made the evening so beautiful. I don't remember who sketched that caricature of Tom or if I even met him or thanked him. But what a wonderful gift. It sits proudly in Tom's room and for those of you who were ever IN that room, you wouldn't recognize it today. He would be glad I'm using it and enjoying it so much. Please feel free to come by any time to visit me.

Love to everyone,
Joyce ("Are you out there, Ma?") Warshauer
